Really happy with my purchase!
Bought a few bottle in the bundle offer and decided to give this a try. I can't say if it smells like the perfume it is similar to as I haven't tried the original but it smells glorious. It's quite a powerful smell and lasts ages. I was told by a complete stranger in a shopping queue that I smelled beautiful 😍
Nice smell very strong at first but doesn't last as long as you would expect maybe two hours.
Mugler aura is my no1 scent, no clue why they discontinued it, so happy I got it here, it’s identical and last all day
My bottle of Mystic Essence arrived exactly one working day after placing the order and I was very excited to try it as Aura is my favourite perfume. I've still got a bottle of Alien Aura to compare this too. Here's my verdict:
Upon spraying it definitely smelt like Aura but with a more citrusy zing. Once settled on the skin, around 2 minutes or so, the true scents which make Aura very distinctive started to come out. The "Palma Violets" smell that some describe became more pronounced. If I smelt this on someone I would definitely think it was Aura. However I had the original on my other arm and there were detectable differences - but not many. Aura has that deep earthy smell straight out of the bottle, where as mystic takes a while for this to show and begins a little bit more citrusy.
In terms of longevity Aura lasted where as Mystic though smelling lovely for most of the evening grew very faint about 4 to 5 hours after wear. I'd say it had the scent strength of the body lotion version of Aura rather than the EDP. In the morning it wasn't detectable at all where as Aura was still packing a punch.
Given the cost for this though, the smell and presentation I would recommend this 100% to those missing their Aura original and wanting to reminisce on that deep earthy and unusual scent and props to the perfumers at Rebel for their attempt to capture such a rich, deep and unusual perfume.
I would definitely buy this again.
